Retro cores and strong reactive coverstocks have always
defined the Avalanche series from Brunswick. Using proven core technology
and high quality coverstocks, the Avalanche delivers unprecedented value
to the bowling customer.
Core
All Avalanche balls use the acclaimed light bulb core initially used in
the Teal Rhino Pro®. The light bulb core and its Danger Zone® modification
were at the heart of two of the most successful balls of all time.
Coverstock
The Avalanche Slide uses the brand new PowrKoil XD Reactive coverstock which
has been specifically designed to provide extra distance (XD) through the
heads when compared to the traditional PowrKoil coverstock. Combined with
the light bulb core, the PowrKoil XD coverstock of the Avalanche Slide gets
cleanly through the heads, even on broken down lane conditions, while maintaining
the strong back-end reaction necessary to bury the pins in the pit.
Reaction Characteristics
Out of the Box: With its High Gloss Polish surface the Avalanche Slide will
match-up well on dry to medium lane conditions and on lane conditions with
broken down heads.
- If your Avalanche Slide goes too long: Shiny surface finishes sometimes
cause the ball to go too long before breaking. Dull the surface with progressively
rougher abrasives to increase hooking action.
- If your Avalanche Slide hooks too early: The Avanlanche is at its maximum
length surface preparartion. You will need to use a less aggressive ball,
such as a Brunswick Power Groove Dry to create more length. |
