VHA TECHNOLOGY
Etonic Worldwide is pleased to announce the launching of our new patented
heel technology after over two years of research and development. One of
the biggest challenges bowlers have expressed with the most recent heel
technology is the large gap between the various heels which are currently
available. Etonic set out to design and develop a fixed heel that would
allow the bowler to fine tune and fill in these gaps based on their style
and/or the approach condition. The technology, called VHA (Variable
Heel Adjuster), will allow the bowler to minutely adjust the angle and pressure
point placement of the heel in relation to the contact on the approach.
This motion, working in unison with a newly designed, multiple friction,
heel shape will allow the bowler to control the amount of braking action
desired in smaller increments. This is not only a brake through in design
but is the first patented, non-removable heel technology developed to improve
the bowlers ability to match up with more subtle approach changes. |
Selecting the proper slide soles using VELCRO®
technology

When choosing the proper slide soles the goal is to neutralize or balance
the approach conditions with the bowler's style to find your Perfect Slide.
A slippery approach (green area on above bar) will require a lower numbered
(PS2, PS4 or PS6) slide sole. And a sticky approach (red area on above bar)
will require a higher numbered (PS6, PS8 or PS10) slide sole. |
PS2
- This specially developed perforated red leather is designed
to minimize the amount of slide and hold its coefficient of friction
longer than the competition's.
- Bowling Approach recommended for the most slippery of approaches,
such as low humidity or dusty environments.
- Bowler's Style for the modern day power-player who wants the
least amount of slide.
|
PS4
- This specially developed perforated brown leather is designed
to minimize the amount of slide and hold its coefficient of friction
longer than the competition's. It is accurately placed between
the PS6 and PS2 materials.
- Bowling Approach recommended for medium to slippery approaches,
such as lower humidity or slightly dusty environments.
- Bowler's Style for the modern day power-player who wants a
lesser amount of slide.
|
PS6
- This specially developed microfiber material is designed to
be the benchmark sole and is in the exact middle of the slide
scale bar. It will hold its coefficient of friction longer than
the competition's and is accurately placed between the PS4 and
PS8 materials.
- Bowling Approach recommended for all medium or normal approach
conditions.
- Bowler's Style for all players who want a medium amount of
slide on normal approaches.
|
PS8
- This specially developed microfiber material is designed to
match up with today's modern synthetic approaches and is the most
widely used slide sole number. It will hold its coefficient of
friction longer than the competition's and is accurately placed
between the PS6 and PS10 materials.
- Bowling Approach recommended for all medium or slightly sticky
approach conditions. Best on synthetic approaches with medium
to high humidity environments.
- Bowler's Style for all players who want a greater amount of
slide on normal to slightly sticky approaches.
|
PS10
- This newly developed non-woven microfiber material is designed
to offer the maximum amount of slide on today's modern synthetic
approaches. This special material will hold its very low coefficient
of friction and will wear longer than the competition's because
the material contains no cotton fibers.
- Bowling Approach recommended for slightly sticky to highly
sticky approach conditions. Best on synthetic approaches in high
humidity environments. (Also great on older, oil soaked, wood
approaches).
- Bowler's Style for the stroker type players who want the maximum
amount of slide on sticky approaches. (Also great for players
who have knee problems).

- Keep soles dry; never use a wire brush; test new soles on approach
before bowling.
- One size fits all.
- Etonic's Perfect Slide Interchangeable Replacement Soles use VELCRO®
fastener technology and allow the bowler to instantly change their sliding
soles to match any approach conditions they may encounter.
- Etonic's Perfect Slide Soles are designed to fit all styles
of high performance bowling shoes using VELCRO® fastener technology,
and must be trimmed to fit before attaching to the bottom of your shoe.
Follow these simple instructions:
1. Remove your original slide sole from the bottom of your shoe. (It
is best when removing your VELCRO® slide sole to always pull from
the shank area toward the toe rather than pulling from the toe).
2. Place your existing sole directly on top of the new, over-sized one,
with VELCRO® facing down and center it as best you can. Then, simply
trace with a sharp pencil or fine point pen.
3. Now cut along your outline with a sharp pair of scissors. Replace
the new sole onto the bottom of your shoe and apply your full body weight
to properly adhere the VELCRO® fastener system before bowling.
You should never wear your shoes with the VELCRO® fasteners exposed
as this will contaminate them.
