As mentioned in an earlier column,
one of the reasons that I agreed to write a monthly column for Bowler
Paradise was the variety of topics that they would allow. In this
month's column we are going to touch on: "The Keys to Success".
Before building a high rise, all architects start with plans that
include blueprints. Before baking a cake, all cooks have a recipe.
Chemist follow formulas, as do mathematicians. Etc, etc.
(I think that you know "where" I am going with "this").
YES………we all need a plan.
AND, to improve our bowling "game" we also need a plan.
In order to improve and succeed, we must first identify what all
of the ingredients are. Obviously, each of these ingredients will
take a lot of work and practice, depending on what "goals" we want
to achieve. We have listed the ingredients below.
| THE KEYS TO SUCCESS: |
- ADJUSTMENTS
- EQUIPMENT
- LINING-UP
- MENTAL GAME
- PHYSICAL GAME
- SPARES
|
NOTE: The reason that these
'KEYS' are listed in alphabetical order is because: like a fine
necklace, each 'LINK' shares individual and equal importance.
THESE ARE THE 6-KEYS THAT MUST BE
MASTERED.
In earlier columns, we have "touched-on" some of these "KEYS", and
we will continue to do so in upcoming columns. Be sure to watch
for them.
One of my favorite quotes is from an old-time successful football
coach, where he says: "Out-Work, Out-Think and Out-Hustle your opponent…..and
you should win, and have FUN doing "IT".
Try heeding that advice. |
